Simply, inject the Shiitake liquid culture into your desired sterile mushroom spawn medium and wait for it to colonize with mycelium. Our liquid cultures produce huge yields making them perfect for both novice and experienced mushroom growers.
Important Product Notes:
- Store in the fridge until you plan to use it
- Allow liquid culture to reach room temperature before use (take it out of the fridge for a day)
- Shake well before use
- Perform inoculation in a sterile environment (Still Air Box/ Laminar Flow Hood)
- Ensure mushroom spawn is sterile before inoculation (Pressure cook it or buy our spawn)
- Liquid culture can last 6 to 12 months (if stored properly)
- Cleanliness is extremely important for mushroom cultivation.
- Choose a clean work area.
Instructions:
- Inject liquid culture into desired sterile mushroom spawn. Wait for colonization (2-6 weeks).
- Once the grain spawn is colonized, mix the spawn into the substrate by manipulating it with your hands from outside the bag.
- Push to fruiting conditions by misting, and increasing air exposure.
- After a short period, your mushrooms mushrooms will start to grow.

How Our Liquid Culture Is Made:
Our liquid culture media is composed of distilled water, malt extract, and yeast, which gives the mycelium ample nutrients to grow thick and healthy. The media is sterilized and then inoculated in front of a HEPA-filtered flow hood to ensure contamination-free products. All of the genes used to inoculate our liquid culture have been tested for contamination on agar and strength tested by growing.
