Description

  • Use as soon as possible, pre-sterilized grain spawn only stays sterile for so long.
  • Cleanliness is extremely important for mushroom cultivation.
  • Choose a clean work area.
  • Spores, agar culture, liquid culture, & substrate are sold separately.
  1. Inoculate using the injection port. Wait for colonization (2-6 weeks).
  2. Mix grain spawn with sterile mushroom fruiting substrate.
  3. Push to fruiting conditions by misting, and increasing air exposure.
  4. After a short period, your mushrooms mushrooms will start to grow.

Our Rye and Millet blended spawn combines two of mycelium’s favorite grain spawns into one, creating the highest-performing spawn possible. With this blend, your mushrooms benefit from rye’s superior water retention, and high nitrogen content resulting in high-yielding harvests. Furthermore, the millet will enable faster and fuller colonization because of its many inoculation contact points and reduced contamination rates, thanks to its low endospore load.

We guarantee all of our products will arrive damage-free and contamination-free . If they don’t we will refund you or send you a new package.

If stored correctly, liquid culture can be viable for more than one year. Store our LC in the fridge until you are ready to use it.

It depends what nutrient profile is within each product. Generally speaking, spawn & substrate can last 1-3 months, if retriggered. And up to 4 weeks at room temperature.  It’s advised to use any of our sterile products as soon as they arrive, if not refrigerate them.

Its depends on the mushroom species. Generally most species from start to finish take 4 to 10 weeks. If were only talking about the fruiting phase “pin to flush” its usually about 2 weeks.

Mushrooms love high humidity, indirect sunlight, and temperatures between 60-75 F. Try to emulate the conditions mushrooms would naturally grow when in the wild.

We do everything we can to ensure your order arrives clean and in-tact.

  • All sterile products are prepared in front of a HEPA filtered laminar flow hood.
  • Sterile products are shipped using sterile practices to prevent contamination during transit.
  • All genetics are contamination tested on agar.
  • All orders are packed using damage-proof methods.
